The fully automatic tube bending machine has the following five mechanical features:
1. The carriage, which performs linear feed (DBB) motion, is pulled forward by the tube during the bending process. This eliminates positive thrust, thus eliminating the synchronization issue between the carriage and the bending speed. It also eliminates the negative feedback system of the DC motor required to increase positive thrust, simplifying the electrical circuit.
2. The bending head can move laterally along the guide rails. This is necessary for the tube bending machine to align the tube groove with the machine centerline after changing the bending die. This method is simpler than adjusting the machine centerline by adjusting the guide rails and tailstock on the bed.
3. During bending, since the carriage acts as a load and is pulled forward by the tube, a booster device is added to improve the bend, prevent excessive thinning of the tube wall thickness in the bent section, and reduce springback. Fourth, when advancing the final bend, the trolley may collide with the die. In this case, the “interference zone” function can be used: die retracts → trolley continues advancing → bending arm returns → cornering (POB) → clamping → chuck releases, trolley exits the interference zone → die tightens → tube bends. This not only avoids trolley-die collisions, ensuring smooth completion of the final bend, but also reduces material head clamping losses and lowers production costs.
Fifth, the bending arm and bending spindle are integrated, the bending die shaft is replaceable, and the clamping die moves up and down. This design is not only rational and increases mechanical strength, but also simplifies the structure and simplifies the electrical wiring.
