Introduction to 2D CNC wire bending machine
The 2D CNC wire bending machine is an intelligent equipment that realizes the plane forming of metal wires through computer numerical control (CNC). Its core technology lies in the X-Y two-axis linkage servo system, which, in conjunction with the high-precision arm module, can complete continuous bending of complex geometric shapes in a single plane. Different from traditional hydraulic bending equipment, this model adopts closed-loop feedback control to achieve micron-level processing capabilities with wire feeding accuracy of ±0.05mm and angle repeatability accuracy of ±0.1°.
The 2D CNC wire bending machine is the core equipment for precision processing of metal wires. It drives the wire feeding and rotating axis through the servo system to realize the automatic forming of flat wires. Its design concept is centered on “machine replacing manual labor” to promote the intelligent upgrading of labor-intensive industries. The equipment is compatible with round, square and flat wires of metals and non-ferrous metals such as iron wire, stainless steel, copper wire, etc., to meet the customized production needs of multiple industries.
Working principle of 2D CNC wire bending machine
1. Material positioning
Metal wire (iron wire/copper wire, etc.) passes through the wire feeding wheel group and is accurately pushed to the bending station by the servo motor.
The system automatically detects the wire position and the error is controlled within ±0.1mm.

2. Bending execution process
Angle generation
The rotating axis rotates the wire according to the program instructions and sets the initial bending direction (such as 30° left turn).
Forming pressure
The bending axis drives the tool to press down and squeeze the wire into the mold cavity to form (the tool pressure is adjustable).
Key control point: The pressing depth and speed are calibrated in real time by the CNC system.
Multi-segment connection
After completing a single bend, the wire feed axis immediately pushes the next section of material, and the cycle action is repeated until the product is formed.
3. End processing
The final section of the product is cut by a hydraulic shear, and the blade is forced to be air-cooled to ensure a smooth cut.
The scrap rate is reduced to less than 0.03% through laser ranging closed-loop control.
4. Accuracy guarantee mechanism
Synchronous compensation: The dual servo system compares the motion trajectory in real time through the PLC, and automatically corrects the deviation if it exceeds 0.5°.
Overload protection: The hydraulic system is equipped with a proportional relief valve, and the pressure exceeds the limit and the pressure is instantly released to prevent wire breakage.
5. Operation constraints
Bending thickness is limited: Superhard materials (such as hardened steel) may damage the mold.
The bending radius must be ≥ 1.5 times the wire diameter, otherwise cracks are likely to occur.
