One-stop Bending Solutions For Wires, Tubes And Pipes
Automatic pipe bending machines primarily utilize vector bending principles and utilize microcomputer control to create any desired three-dimensional tube shape. They are essential equipment for modern bending and shaping processes. So how can you operate them quickly and safely? Simply put, there are only three steps:
Ⅰ. Before Operating an Automatic Pipe Bending Machine
1. The machine must be properly grounded. Wires must be no smaller than 4mm² copper wire. Do not connect to a power supply voltage exceeding the specified range. Do not plug or unplug plugs while powered on. Do not use a megohmmeter to test control circuits, as this may damage components.
2. When plugging or unplugging connectors in the automatic pipe bending machine, do not pull on wires or cables to prevent soldering.
3. Avoid striking proximity switches, encoders, and other components with hard objects.
4. Avoid striking the display unit with sharp objects.
5. The electrical box must be placed in a well-ventilated area. Avoid operating in dusty or corrosive environments.
6. Do not unauthorizedly add or rewire the PC input and output terminals.
7. Recheck the motor direction when changing the machine power supply.
8. The machine tool should be kept clean, especially ensuring that no foreign matter remains in the sliding grooves of the clamping block, slider, or other components.
9. Regularly lubricate the chain and other sliding parts.
10. Always disconnect the power supply during cleaning and maintenance.
11. Pre-operation preparation: Check that the oil level in the fuel tank is at the oil level line, add oil to all lubrication points, start the machine to confirm the motor direction, check for any abnormal noises from the oil pump, and after starting the machine, check the hydraulic system for oil leaks (if the angle encoder is in the “not allowed” state).
12. Pressure adjustment: Use a solenoid relief valve to adjust the pressure to ensure that the system pressure reaches the required operating pressure, generally no higher than 12.5 MPa.
13. Mold adjustment: During mold installation, ensure that the mold and clamping block are aligned (the clamping block can be adjusted with bolts); the booster block is aligned (the booster block can be adjusted); and the core head is aligned with the mold. Loosen the core head frame bolts, adjust the center, and tighten the bolts.
II. Operating the Automatic Pipe Bending Machine
1. When the automatic pipe bending machine is in operation, be careful not to enter the area swept by the rotating arm.
2. When the machine is operating, no personnel are allowed to enter the area swept by the rotating arm or pipe fittings.
3. The machine’s hydraulic system uses YA-N32 standard hydraulic oil (original grade 20). Under normal circumstances, it should be replaced annually, and the oil filter must be cleaned at the same time.
4. When adjusting the machine (mold), the adjuster should perform the adjustment by pressing the button. Do not allow one person to perform the adjustment on the machine while another person operates the control cabinet.
5. When adjusting the machine or operating an empty machine, remove the core rod.
6. The hydraulic system pressure must not exceed 14 MPa.
7. When manually adjusting the side thrust cylinder speed, the arm should be rotated to ≥900° before adjustment. The adjustment speed should be synchronized with the linear speed of the rotating arm and the edge of the pipe bending mold. Do not allow the side thrust cylinder to exceed the linear speed of the rotating mold edge during manual operation.
8. After using the machine for a period of time, check the chain tension to ensure that the upper and lower chains are at the same tension.
9. During automatic operation in core bending mode, before the bending arm returns, the operator must ensure that the core head is inside the pipe or that the core shaft is not blocked during the return of the bending arm. Otherwise, the core head or core rod may bend or break.
Ⅲ. After the automatic pipe bending machine is finished, disconnect the power supply and clean and lubricate it.
